Moving Time!

One of the 2 main reasons that we started excitingtimes was to document the construction of our new house. Over the past nearly 1 year, you have seen our house torn down, big holes put in our land, concrete being poured, walls being erected and so on. It has been an amazing process to witness, especially from across the street where we have been living for 13 months. So, it comes with great excitement that we are able to share with you that this past weekend, September 27th and 28th, we moved all of our stuff from the rental house into our new house. Our first night sleeping there was the 27th and the rental house has been cleaned and we no longer live there. Though we will have fond memories of our rental house (it is where we brought our son home), we have been dreaming of this move for a long time and now to realize it and share it with those that we love and care about is exactly what the title of this blog signifies....

It is indeed, Exciting Times in the Paulson Family!

Here are some pictures of the house and of our move party. More pictures to come as we start finding homes for our belongings and as our landscape takes form and the workers finish off the little details that are still left (and two big details like painting the outside of our house and pouring our driveway).

And a big thanks to all those that were able to help move. I only have a few pictures of you, so not everybody is captured in photos, but you know who you are...

(Yes, that is me shoving food into my face while everybody works. I had to maintain my energy, you know...)

And what better way to finish off the moving day, then to get all gussied up and attend a wedding! Our cousin Ben was married to Kelly on the 27th, so it gave us an excuse to try out our new shower (awesome!), get dressed up, enjoy a wedding and then drink some wine and have a great dinner! Congratulations Ben and Kelly!!!

As for Jace (the second main reason we started this blog), boy did he have a good time. 3 Grandmas attended moving day! Plus, a few of his favorites were there to keep him entertained (thanks Janelle and Amy!). Here are a few of his cutest pics from the weekend. He has decided that he would like to give Quidditch a shot.

He is also big into eating mom's hair... Perhaps we aren't feeding him enough?

And the biggest news of all is that he is walking! He started walking a few steps a few weeks ago, but he is now cruising about 10 steps. This kid isn't even 10 months yet (that's tomorrow!) and he is already trucking around the place like he owns it. Its just the best thing ever!
