December 2010

December was a great month for the Paulsons. With two little boys to enjoy the holidays with, the time sure flew by!

After Jace's birthday celebration, we had lots of activities planned. We set up the Christmas tree with lots of help from an eager toddler:

Trey kept growing and growing and got big enough to enjoy his bouncy horse. He absolutely loves it (video to come in a later post!):

We also spent a wonderful evening with Grandma Jan, Uncle Justin, Aunt Veronica and Cousin Sophia. We went to Bellevue and enjoyed a great dinner and the exchanging of Christmas gifts after a beautiful walk through the Bellevue Botanical Gardens, where every year they put thousands and thousands of Christmas lights throughout their plants and trees. Editors note, it was a much colder evening then we were expecting, therefore, Stephanie was wearing Jesse's coat and Jesse was wearing Stephanie's skin tight vest.

During a wet and cool day, we decided to go to one of our favorite spots, the Woodland Park Zoo. Most of the animals were out and there were not many people there. We were thrilled to see one of our favorite types of cows, the oreo cow, which we saw and fell in love with on our honeymoon on New Zealand.

We also saw a rare breed of turtle that we hadn't seen in previous visits...

Here are some cute pics of the boys, who just keep getting bigger and bigger:

The boy's daycare had their annual Christmas celebration. The boys had a great time, with Jace singing (and eating a lot) and Trey being admired by everybody and dressing as Rudolph:

On Christmas day, we were in Eastern Washington at Grandpa Ron's and Grandma Marcia's. We had a great time opening gifts in the morning and then went to Great Grandma Kate's house for more family, food and gifts. It was a great day.

The day after Christmas, after Jace, Jesse and Grandpa Ron did the chores, it was time for some fun in the snow. Jace and dad drove fast around the snow in the 4-wheeler. Then, Grandpa and Jace decided to do a little sledding in the pastures. To add a little more excitement, we tied the sled up to the 4-wheeler and went for a little spin. It was a blast!

All in all, December had been amazing... and we weren't even done with it yet. More pics from December to come in the next post. For now, here are a few more great pictures of the family:

Jace Turns 3!

Our "little" Jace turned three in December. His card turned into a hat and he wore it all day long! He celebrated his birthday with family and friends, including some of his friends from school. They had an awesome time playing together and of course, we finished it off with cake. Aunt Amy, Uncle John, Daddy and Mommy designed and decorated a very fun train cake. Jace picked the bright red caboose to eat at his party!

We love you Jaceman!!!
