Happy Easter

Jace and Stephanie made the trip east of the mountains for Easter weekend. It was a weekend of Grandparents, horses and easter eggs.

Jace started Saturday morning playing and watching June.

After a morning of fun and a good country breakfast, Jace went to Stephanie's second cousin's house for a great big Easter egg hunt. Jace had so much fun, but was overwhelmed with how many people there were.

There was a cool stream running through the property and Jace found an awesome tree that he enjoyed playing on.

Our climber boy shows off some mad skills:

Jace and Great Grandma Kate had some quality time together. They enjoyed the potato salad that Nan made but Jace, much like his Dad, spit out the onions. It didn't keep them from laughing and smiling:

What is a trip to the Dixon's house without some quality pasture time? Jace warmed up to the horses much quicker than the last visit but he isn't quite ready for Grandpa Ron to saddle up his horse for a ride.

Some more outdoor play and quality grandparent time.
It is not uncommon to see wildlife at the Dixon's and this trip was no exception. Last time he ran into a polar bear and this time Jace had a close encounter with a beaver!

A fun week

We had beautiful weather in Seattle and decided to take advantage of it. One weekday afternoon, we went to the local school up the street and had some fun.

On Tuesday we had Eileen and Brenna over for a visit. These are the best kind of visitors as they brought dinner! (Hint, Hint) Thanks for dinner, it was delicious.

Jace spent some quality time with his mom during her busy tax week.

We have trees!

Today was a great day for our landscaping! A couple of months ago, we took a trip to Snohomish and picked out 7 trees and today they were delivered and planted. They are gorgeous!

5 vine maples were planted, 4 in the front yard, 1 in the back:

In the backyard we had a Japanese maple planted:

And last, but definitely not least, my favorite, the coral bark maple. We love how bright and vibrant this tree is!

We have also been planting shrubs and plants as we get them. Here are two heavenly bamboo plants that will, one day, grow up and help hide the foundation and gas meter.
